DRIVE TRAIN

The drive train of a motor vehicle is the group of components that deliver power to the driving wheels. This excludes the engine or motor that generates the power. In contrast, the power train is considered to include both the engine or motor and the drivetrain. Drive train can be 4-wheel drive, front wheel drive or rear wheel drive depending on the vehicle specifications.

DIAGNOSTICS

The diagnostic test relies on a computer system that links to the vehicle's computer processor, sensors, and microchips, logging any problems or issues present. It can reveal existing flaws including problems with the exhaust, transmission, oil tank and other systems. Diagnostics today are done by sophisticated computers that actually plug into and communicate with your vehicle to identify specific fault codes, used to diagnose a problem. All Auto Care franchisees have the required diagnostics machines to properly diagnose a vehicle fault correctly the first time.

BRAKES

Found on all four wheels, your brakes are one of the most important safety systems on your vehicle. Disc brakes can be found on the front and back wheels and feature brake pads and calipers. Drum brakes with brake shoes and wheel cylinders may be found on the back wheels of some vehicles.

FRONT STEERING & SUSPENSION

Helps improve the ride and handling of the vehicle. Though systems vary in makeup, they typically include shocks/struts, ball joints, tie rod ends, rack and pinion steering system and idler/pitman arms. The suspension connects your vehicle to the tyres and ultimately to the road.

REAR SUSPENSION

As with the front suspension, the rear suspension contributes to the handling and ride quality of the vehicle. Systems can vary, but they usually are made up of shocks, coil springs, ball joints, control arms and CV joints.

This is a basic service on your vehicle. This would include mainly engine oil and filters changing as well as a general inspection of the vehicle to ascertain if any other consumables or parts on the vehicle needs to be replaced. This is done as per Original manufacturer specification.

MAJOR SERVICES

This includes all service items on the vehicle as done with a minor service, but will also include other items such as all fluids on the vehicle, spark plugs, belts. This is done as per original manufacturer spec.

AUTO-ELECTRICAL

This has to do with all the electrical systems in your vehicle. Vehicles today have intricate electrical and computer systems to ensure they run optimally. The electrical system in your car is basically the life blood of your vehicle and without it working properly; your car will not run.

ENGINE OVERHAUL

Over time depending on millage and other factor, your engine may need an overhaul. This entails the complete striping of the vehicle’s hart and refurbishing and or replacing all the worn parts in the engine according to the original manufacturer’s specification. This can be a very costly exercise and this is why it is always important to maintain and service your vehicle as required by the original manufacturer’s specification.
